First Dental Home

The American Academy of pediatric dentistry recommends that every child should visit the dentist before the age of 1 or by the eruption of their first tooth (whichever comes first). Each baby tooth has a 6 month window for the dentist to fortify it during developmental stage, which is only up to 6 months. Taking your child to the dentist before a year and every 3-6 months afterward ensures that each newly erupted tooth is examined, accounted for, and fortified within that developmental window. Another very important reason is for us to detect and manage early signs of oral disease or abnormalities before they become more difficult issues to solve. With the addition of our new virtually pain free dental laser, early treatment of tooth decay becomes more important for a less traumatic dental experience. At your first visit you will be provided with a professional oral consult including up to date information on developmental timelines and current recommendations by the most respected dental organizations. At Imagine we feel a very important reason to bring your precious one to us is because the younger your child is introduced to a fun and engaging dental office environment, the easier it is for them to develop a positive association with the dentist. A positive association with dental care will follow your child into adulthood.
